Walk together

Last week was a tough one for all of us. Christine was the first one who first came down with a 104º fever two Saturday mornings ago. She was burning up bad but was otherwise very happy, albeit a bit sweaty. At around 10:30am on the following Wednesday, Ms. Faith from Alexander's school called da da on the phone to inform him that Boy Boy was carrying a very high fever. Da Da dropped everything at the office and sprinted straight towards the school. Alexander was indeed very warm and quite lethargic. Ma Ma stayed home to look after Alexander on the following Thursday and again on Friday since it was Admission Day in Hawaii, meaning there was no school. As the weekend approaches, Ma Ma got sick first and then Da Da came down with high fevers and body aches all over his body on Friday. Saturday, or yesterday, was an unusual stay-home weekend day for the entire clan.

On the bright side, when we drove out to get some MacDonald's Happy Meals for Solar and his sister, they were so good and held each other's hands like we've always wanted them to. In a couple of weeks, mui mui will begin pre-school too and so it would be good to instill a sense of "looking after each othter" into both of them.
